A modern spin on a classic dish, Parmesan Crusted Chicken is an easy-to-prepare meal that delivers flavor and crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs until well combined in another bowl.
  4. Place the flour in a third bowl.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, coating all sides.
  6. Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  7. Coat the chicken breasts in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to ensure an even coating.
  8. Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Spray the tops of the chicken lightly with olive oil or cooking spray.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
  11. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken beforehand or try adding red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure chicken breasts are of equal thickness for even cooking.
