Oven-Baked Cabbage Burgers

Delicious and healthy oven-baked cabbage burgers, filled with seasoned beef or turkey, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cheese slices, spices or herbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage leaves by boiling them in salted water for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Mix together the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Shape the cabbage burgers by placing a portion of the meat mixture in the center of a cabbage leaf and rolling it up.
  5. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and placing the burgers seam side down.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is caramelized.
  7. Optional: Add cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your flavorful cabbage burgers!

Notes

These burgers are easily customizable with your favorite cheeses or herbs. They can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for up to three months.
