A comforting and indulgent one-pan pasta dish featuring creamy sauce and savory Italian sausage.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, draining excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the pasta and stir to combine, then cover and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
