Deliciously fluffy waffles made with cream cheese, chopped pecans, and a touch of maple syrup, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, cream cheese, maple syrup, and egg until smooth.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease it.
  6. Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until golden brown.
  7. Serve with additional maple syrup and pecans on top.

Notes

Make sure to soften the cream cheese to avoid lumps. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
