Delicious lemon brownies that combine rich flavors with zesty lemon for a bright treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Powdered sugar for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter and combine with granulated sugar. Let cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the flour and salt in a separate bowl and add it to the wet ingredients, stirring gently.
  4. Add lemon juice and zest, mixing until well blended.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice to make the glaze.
  7. Cool the brownies completely, then pour the glaze over the top and let set before slicing.
