Tender marinated chicken breasts infused with a savory blend of soy sauce, garlic, and honey, perfect for a heartwarming meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Steamed rice (for serving)
  • Steamed vegetables (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat Your Cooking Surface: Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates if grilling.
  4. Prepare the Chicken for Cooking: Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  5. Cook the Chicken: Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve & Enjoy: Serve with steamed rice and vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 2 hours. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
