A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of creamy mascarpone, berry jam, and ladyfingers soaked in strawberry syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • Strawberry syrup for dipping

Instructions

  1. Combine the mixed berries, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form. Fold in the mascarpone, vanilla, and almond extracts until smooth.
  3. Dip the ladyfingers briefly in the strawberry syrup, then layer them in a serving dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, followed by half of the berry jam.
  5. Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and berry jam.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh mint leaves and a dusting of cocoa powder. Pairs well with prosecco or coffee.
