Delightful monkey bread muffins coated in sweet cinnamon and served warm, perfect for breakfast or a tea break.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Mix together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters.
  4. Roll each piece in the sugar mixture until coated.
  5. Layer the biscuit pieces in the muffin tin, adding nuts and raisins if desired.
  6. Pour melted butter over the top of each muffin cup.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee or cocoa. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days or frozen for a month.
