Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Deliciously soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls, perfect for a cozy morning treat, topped with rich cream cheese frosting.

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Cream cheese frosting (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to about 110°F and sprinkle the yeast over the top.
  2. Stir in the melted butter, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix in the flour and beaten eggs to form a soft dough.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll the dough out onto a floured surface into a rectangle, then spread melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into 12 even pieces.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Frost the rolls with cream cheese frosting after allowing them to cool slightly.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nuts or raisins to the filling.
