  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients for a flavorful base in a large pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce and let simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  2. Prepare the dumpling dough by mixing flour, baking powder, and salt, then folding in whisked milk and egg.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough into the simmering soup and cover, cooking for an additional 15-20 minutes.
