A delightful twist on classic French toast using sweet, fluffy Hawaiian rolls for an indulgent yet simple breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter or cooking spray for the skillet
  • Maple syrup or your favorite toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and grease it with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Create the egg mixture by whisking together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half, creating ideal vessels for soaking up the egg mixture.
  4. Soak each half of the rolls into the egg mixture for a few seconds.
  5. Cook the soaked rolls on the preheated skillet until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup or your favorite toppings.

Notes

Make sure to allow the rolls enough time to soak, but do not let them fall apart. Experiment with flavored syrups or add-ins for unique flavor profiles.
