A simple yet scrumptious homemade ground turkey jerky that captures the smoky flavors of outdoor adventures.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°F (80°C).
  2. Combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Score the jerky mixture into strips for easy tearing later.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours, checking periodically for doneness.
  6. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Jerky can be kept at room temperature for up to two weeks. Refrigerate for up to a month or freeze for long-term storage.
