Delicious and nutritious homemade bagels made with Greek yogurt, perfect for any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  3. If using, add honey and salt. Knead the dough gently until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions, roll each into a snake and form into a circle, pinching the ends together.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place bagels on it.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a fluffy texture, ensure the dough is kneaded to the right consistency. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
