Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter until it’s just gloriously gooey.
  3. Mix in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated, then drizzle in the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  8. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  10. Cool before serving.
