A classic dessert that combines buttery brioche with a rich, creamy custard, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Buttery brioche
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Raisins
  • Butter for greasing
  • Vanilla sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Tear the brioche into pieces and place them in the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Pour the mixture over the brioche, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Add in raisins.
  5. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until set and golden.
  7. Serve warm topped with vanilla sauce.

Notes

Use day-old brioche for the best texture. Feel free to add extra spices or substitute raisins with chocolate chips or nuts.
