A delightful and easy dessert featuring a rich cream cheese center atop a buttery cake base.

  • 1 box cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg in a mixing bowl until well mixed.
  3. Press the batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese in another bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the powdered sugar, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake batter and spread it gently.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set but still slightly gooey in the center.
  8. Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
