A cozy and comforting drink made with warm spices and milk, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of black pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger in a small saucepan and whisk together until well mixed.
  2. Heat the mixture on medium until it’s hot but not boiling.
  3. Stir in honey or maple syrup, and if desired, the pinch of black pepper.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and remove the saucepan from heat.
  5. Pour the golden milk into a mug, whisk until frothy, and enjoy!

Notes

For a frothier finish, use a frother or an immersion blender. Experiment with adding chocolate or nutmeg for flavor variations.
