  • 1 can lentils, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, sauté the onions and bell peppers until soft, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute, allowing the aromatic notes to fill your kitchen.
  3. Stir in the lentils, tomato sauce, tomato paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend all the flavors together.
  5. Serve the hearty mixture on burger buns, adding any toppings you desire!
