Soft and flavorful garlic rolls, perfect for any meal or as a snack. Easy to make, with a delightful aroma while baking.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and melted butter.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into small pieces. Shape each piece into a roll.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush this mixture onto the rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

For softer rolls, cover them with a kitchen towel while they rise. Adjust garlic quantity to taste. You can add herbs for a unique twist.
