A delightful twist on a southern classic, these crispy peach cobbler egg rolls combine the sweetness of peaches with a crunchy exterior, making them the perfect handheld treat for any occasion.

  • 1 cup canned peaches, drained and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly mixed.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, spoon a tablespoon of the peach filling into the center, fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal with a bit of water.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Brush each egg roll with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain. Serve warm.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, these egg rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes to regain crunch.
