Crispy Parmesan Chicken with Rich Garlic Sauce

A comforting and flavorful chicken dish, easy enough for any weeknight and special enough for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 small to medium chicken breasts (or 2 large halved)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup light cream or heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken in the pan for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the pan for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the cream, stirring continuously to combine. Add Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth.
  6. Stir in chopped spinach (if using) and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until wilted and tender.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the pan, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Serve hot.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes, salad, or pasta. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
