This dish features crispy, parmesan-crusted chicken breasts paired with a creamy garlic sauce, infused with Italian herbs and fresh spinach.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 small to medium chicken breasts (or 2 large halved)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup light cream or heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Lightly sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the chicken breasts, ensuring they’re well-coated for a flavorful base.
  2. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers, perfect for achieving that crispy crust.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and let it cook for 5-6 minutes per side for a golden-brown exterior.
  4. Remove and Rest: Once the chicken is crispy and cooked through, remove it from the skillet and set aside on a plate. Let it rest while making the sauce.
  5. Sauté the Garlic: Lower the skillet heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the Cream: Carefully pour in the cream, stirring continuously to create a smooth sauce base.
  7. Season the Sauce: Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and add the grated parmesan cheese, stirring until everything is mixed and velvety.
  8. Incorporate the Spinach: If using spinach, stir it into the sauce now and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  9. Combine and Finish: Return the crispy chicken to the skillet, spoon the creamy sauce over the top, and simmer for an additional minute to warm through.
  10. Serve and Enjoy: Remove from heat and serve your Crispy Parmesan Chicken hot, with sides like pasta, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

Ensure your chicken is patted dry before seasoning for the crispiest results. Don’t rush the sautéing of garlic to prevent bitterness. Adjust garlic and spinach to your preference.
