A warm, comforting dessert transforming stale croissants with creamy custard and rich flavors, perfect for sharing.

  • 4 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter, for greasing
  • Caramel sauce or your favorite sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add the torn croissant pieces to the custard mixture, gently folding to combine and allow the croissants to soak for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
