Fudgy brownies topped with glossy ganache and colorful candy-coated chocolate chips, perfect for indulging in nostalgic sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy-coated chocolate chips for topping
  • 1 cup heavy cream for ganache
  • 8 oz chocolate for ganache

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips gently to keep the batter airy.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly to ensure they bake uniformly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
  6. Prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream in a saucepan until just simmering, then pour it over the chocolate in a bowl. Let it sit for a few minutes before stirring until smooth.
  7. Let the brownies cool in the pan, then pour the ganache over the top for an indulgent finish.
  8. Sprinkle the candy-coated chocolate chips on top of the ganache while it’s still warm.
  9. Allow the brownies to set before cutting them into squares and serving.
