Delightful coconut bars that are sweet, creamy, and chewy, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a bowl. Stir in the flour and brown sugar until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the base.
  3. Mix shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt in another bowl. Pour this mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  5. Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

For an extra coconut flavor, consider toasting the shredded coconut before adding it to the mixture. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan for easier cutting.
