A delightful mashup of a classic cinnamon roll and a moist poke cake, soaked in sweetened condensed milk and topped with a fluffy whipped cream layer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Frosting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions using water and eggs. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle this mixture over the cake batter.
  4. Bake the cake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Once baked, poke holes all over the top with a fork.
  6. Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  7. Let the cake cool completely.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat the whipped cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  9. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake.
  10. Optionally, drizzle some frosting over the top before serving.

Notes

For best results, cool the cake completely before adding the whipped topping. Feel free to get creative with toppings like nuts or chocolate chips.
