Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls swirled with Nutella, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Activate the Yeast: In a separate bowl, warm the milk and add the yeast, allowing it to activate for about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Mix the melted butter and egg into the yeast mixture, then combine with the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough: Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread Nutella evenly, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  6. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  7. Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  9. Icing the Rolls: Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with a simple icing made from powdered sugar and a little water or milk.
