  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg in a mixing bowl. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Add the 2 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese, mixing until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Pour the cream cheese filling over the crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is set and slightly golden.
  8. Let it cool before serving.
