  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. Warm the Milk and Combine Ingredients: Gently warm the milk and add it to the bowl with the melted butter and egg. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the Dough: Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  5. Roll Out the Dough: Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Add the Filling: Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chocolate chips evenly on top.
  7. Roll and Slice the Dough: Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8 equal rolls.
  8. Let the Rolls Rise Again: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake to Perfection: Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool and Enjoy: Allow rolls to cool slightly before serving.
