Indulgent and chewy chocolate chip cookies with chunks of Oreo for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (390g) all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (200g) dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup (60mL) milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (9 oz / 255g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 15 Oreos, roughly broken up

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt, and cubed butter in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and combine until a smooth dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and broken Oreos until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Dough can be frozen for longer storage.
