A simple yet flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breast enveloped in a silky garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the sliced chicken to the skillet, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, chicken broth, and sugar in a bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet, bring to a simmer while stirring.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir well to coat.
  8. Let everything cook for an additional 3-4 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, pair with jasmine rice or sautéed vegetable sides. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
