A comforting pasta dish combining crispy bacon, tender chicken, and creamy ranch sauce, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 strips bacon
  • Salt/Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (Rotini recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crispy. Set aside and reserve the drippings.
  2. Prepare the chicken breasts by slicing and seasoning them. Sear in bacon drippings over medium-high heat until cooked thoroughly.
  3. Boil a pot of salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain well.
  4. Make the sauce by melting butter in the same skillet, sautéing garlic, adding flour to create a roux, and then gradually whisking in half-and-half. Stir in ranch seasoning and cheese until melted.
  5. Combine the drained pasta and cubed chicken into the sauce. Mix well and garnish with crispy bacon bits before serving.

Notes

Add cooked broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition. Substitute cheese varieties for different flavors.
