A comforting pasta dish combining classic cheesesteak flavors with tortellini, in a luxurious creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 8 oz provolone cheese
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup cream
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the sliced steak until browned.
  4. Add the sliced bell peppers and onions, cooking until tender and caramelized.
  5. Infuse with minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  6. Create the creamy sauce by pouring in the cream and adding provolone cheese, stirring until the cheese melts.
  7. Combine the cooked tortellini with the sauce, stirring to coat.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, serve warm.

Notes

For quicker prep, use pre-sliced steak or leftovers. Substitute provolone with mozzarella or sharp cheddar if needed.
