Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • Ketchup and mustard for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned, draining excess fat.
  3. Mix the cooked beef with the cream of mushroom soup and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the frozen French fries in a greased casserole dish.
  5. Pour the beef mixture over the fries, covering them completely.
  6. Top with the remaining fries and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with ketchup and mustard on the side if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
