Delightful cookies that resemble the cheerful flavors of a birthday cake, bursting with colorful sprinkles and warmth.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup colorful sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in sprinkles and chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to two months.
