  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
