  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine, then return the chicken to the skillet.
  8. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, let it simmer on the stove for a few extra minutes before adding the chicken back. Use fresh mozzarella for better creaminess and flavor.
