A comforting dish of tender beef and flavorful noodles, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef chuck, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups egg noodles
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
  2. Remove the beef and set it aside. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Return the beef to the skillet and add the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 90 to 120 minutes until the beef is tender.
  5. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  6. Drain the noodles and add them to the beef mixture; stir to combine.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce for an hour before cooking. You can add vegetables like carrots and peas for added nutrition.
