A delightful twist on classic banana bread, these Banana Bread Brownies combine the moistness of banana bread with the fudgy richness of brownies.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium Ripe Bananas
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prep your baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash those overripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Combine the mashed bananas with melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  5. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  7. Add the milk and fold it into the batter.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  9. Bake the batter for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool the brownies for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
