A healthier version of classic apple fritters, baked to golden perfection and filled with tender apples and warm cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced fresh apples
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Mix the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Spoon batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
