A heartwarming dish featuring tender flank steak, sliced vegetables, and melted provolone cheese, all served in crusty rolls.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 crusty rolls

Instructions

  1. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper and place in the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic on top of the steak. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, mixing gently.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
  4. Shred the steak using two forks once cooked.
  5. Return shredded steak to the crockpot to soak in juices.
  6. Toast the rolls until golden.
  7. Assemble by placing shredded steak on each roll and top with provolone cheese. Broil for a minute to melt cheese if desired.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the flank steak in Worcestershire sauce overnight. Substitute with chuck roast or skirt steak if needed.
